Synopsis
Emma is fifteen and living in a repressive rural Protestant community, under the shadow of the Second World War. When she becomes pregnant following an assault, she refuses the silence and stigma imposed on her. With determination and courage, she confronts the village’s moral hypocrisy and fights to carve out her own path toward self-determination.
