Les Belles Heures de l'Université de Montréal, the FIFA [ARTS.FILMS] and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Montreal present L'esprit Le Corbusier, a 52-minute documentary by Gilles Coudert.
Through the testimonies of artists, architects and residents of Firminy, one of Le Corbusier's largest housing complexes in Europe, Gilles Coudert weaves personal experience and expert analysis to explore the influence and contradictions of a body of work that set out to revolutionize our lives through architecture.
Born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, known as Le Corbusier, left behind a legacy listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Armelle Wolff, art historian and lecturer specializing in architectural heritage.
