Mary Anning – Special Screening in Vancouver

Language: French with English subtitles

The Consulate General of Switzerland in Vancouver in collaboration with Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs at Simon Fraser University, Alliance Française Vancouver and Visions Ouest Productions, presents a screening of Mary Anning, directed by Marcel Barelli.

Directed by Marcel Barelli, the film follows twelve-year-old Mary Anning, a curious and determined girl in early 19th-century England whose passion for fossils is inherited from her father. When he disappears, leaving behind a mysterious drawing and a family in hardship, Mary sets out on a journey of discovery where friendship, adventure and the beginnings of paleontology gradually unfold.

This screening forms part of this year’s celebrations marking Switzerland’s 30 years of membership in the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.
