Gerry Hemingway at the Guelph Jazz Festival

The acclaimed percussionist, composer and improviser Gerry Hemingway will be featured at the Guelph Jazz Festival with a public conversation and two concert performances.

A pioneering figure in improvised and contemporary music, Hemingway has spent more than four decades exploring new approaches to percussion, composition and sound. His work combines multi-instrumentalism, extended techniques, electroacoustic elements, voice and spontaneous improvisation, creating performances that are both inventive and deeply engaging.

Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with numerous leading artists from the worlds of jazz and experimental music, establishing himself as an influential voice on the international music scene.
